StarTex be purchased by Constellation Energy

Houston agreed retail electricity provider StarTex power on Friday, bought by Constellation Energy Group Inc. for $ 142.5 million in an all-cash deal.

The purchase is Baltimore-based Constellation Energy (NYSE: CEG) to take the company said in a press release in the mass market Texas foot.

StarTex power, founded has about150 people and 170,000 customers in 2004 by Bob and Marcie Zlotnik. The company remains headquartered in Houston.
