Delta Memphis Lincoln sales start slow

Delta Air Lines Inc.'s new service from Lincoln, Neb., after Memphis Journal Star is off a slow start, the Lincoln reports.

June 9 the airline begins once daily flight, and that so far, a little more than half of the line sold tickets in the first week.

Lincoln Airport Executive Director John Wood told the paper he expected that to improve the numbers. An airline needed typically 70% - 75% capacity for a route to profitable, according to the report.

The seasonal flight will end mid-August. Atlanta-based Delta operates Memphis International Airport.
