Arizona will ring in the new year with a solar victory. One of America's scaled about 40 miles west of Phoenix, largest solar photovoltaic systems on commercial operation. The project, mesquite solar 1, run by Sempra Energy with support from the Department of energy loan guarantee program.
Mesquite solar 1 fittings in 300 days of sunshine per year to 150 megawatts (MW) of clean electricity produce enough, which makes about 30,000 apartments. The success of mesquite-solar has been a blessing for the surrounding community - almost to create 530 jobs for Arizona, since the construction began.
With the first phase of the project of mesquite solar now fully focused on the development of the remaining 4,000-acre facility solar Sempra.
